I just might start writing in english. There will be typos though, forgive me.
So I started yesterday by checking TikTok, since it was officially banned in US. I wrote:

TikTok bannattiin tänään Amerikan yhdysvalloissa. Ihmiset puhuvat itkien siitä verraten sitä pandemiaan. On toki ymmärrettävä, että suuri määrä ihmisiä jää työttömäksi, tai ainakin menettää ison osan tuloistaan päätöksen takia. TikTokin mukaan vuonna 2023 TikTokin maksullinen markkinointi toi käyttäjille melkein 15 miljardia US dollaria tuloja. (https://newsroom.tiktok.com/en-us/tiktok-economic-impact-report-2024-smb)
Donald Trump on jo tehnyt lupauksia palauttaa TikTok USA:han.

TikTok was banned in the United States of America today. People are crying about it, comparing it to a pandemic. Of course, it is understandable that a large number of people will be unemployed, or at least lose a large part of their income because of the decision. According to TikTok, in 2023, TikTok's paid marketing brought users almost 15 billion US dollars in revenue. (https://newsroom.tiktok.com/en-us/tiktok-economic-impact-report-2024-smb)
Now hundreds of thousands of American TikTok users have moved to another Chinese social media platform in protest: RedNote (Xiaohongshu or "little red book"). They are called TikTok refugees.
I downloaded the RedNote app a few days ago. However, I haven't dared to log in, because logging in requires registering with a phone number or Apple ID. Both options are somehow inconvenient, and feel like a bit of a data security risk. Need to explore options further.
Donald Trump has already made promises to bring TikTok back to the US.

My friend's message concluded it pretty well.
But isn't work as a TikToker as real as work as a construction worker or a banker.
If instead of TikTok it would be a Tesla factory that would get banned, would the response be different?

16 mm film looping system.
I bought a Siemens 2000 16mm projector, in a really good shape with 100€.
Then I started to research options for the film looper. I dig through everything I could find online and contacted Milja Viita, Filmverksteden and Raphael Vargas whom all gave me really valuable advice.
Best online sources were:
Kristin Reeves with https://reevesmachine.com/16mm-film-looping-systems/
K3camera

Also other super interesting 16mm projector - project:

I did the technical drawings just by estimating the proportion from different images I found.
The design is simple, but seems to work!
The resistor in this projector model generates a lot of heat, so I attached a piece of sheet aluminium to protect the looper.
This projector model has the old type lamps and they are not very bright. I could get a brighter one, but then I would need a stronger resistor too. I might buy a bit newer Eiki projector for the installation if I can get one cheaply. Otherwise I do like the design of this one.

I also added a brush for removing some of the dust and debris from the film that the gate would stay cleaner.
